Motileo Crowned Winner at SiGMA Pitch 2025

Motileo Wins Sigma Pitch-Euro-Med-2025.

The SiGMA Euro-Med 2025 Startup Pitch, held at the Mediterranean Maritime Hub in Malta 02 September, brought together some of the most promising startups in the iGaming industry.

After an intense round of live pitches and judge deliberation, Motileo emerged as the clear winner, securing a substantial prize package designed to accelerate their next stage of growth.

Backed by partners such as AWS, ZBX’s, r77 and Chips, the prize package includes: Startup Marketing Package of $21,300, Cloud Infrastructure Package of $10,000, Blockchain Growth Package of $100,000, Technology Foundation Package up to $400,000, Brand Development Package of $7,000, Industry Education Package of $2,600, Talent Acquisition Package of $2,000, Corporate Setup Package and Executive Networking Package.

The judges were a diverse group of industry veterans including: Wojciech Trzaska, Chief Commercial Officer at SB Software, Rob Duboff, Director at Velo Partners, Oliver De Bono, CEO of Quantum Gaming, Vladimir Malakchi, CEO and Managing Partner at Xanada Investments, Gabriel Demirci, Managing Partner at Growth Box Ventures and William Spiteri Bailey, President of The Malta Chamber.

The startup action

The competition began with ChatBet, a Cyprus-based company led by Joshua Swerdlow. Joshua described how ChatBet allows operators to open a new revenue channel by enabling players to place bets directly through messaging apps such as WhatsApp. With AI-driven funnels, META integration readiness and AWS scalability, the platform is designed to raise betting engagement seamlessly. His pitch proved confident and energetic, closing with the remarks “You can’t be afraid of chat betting. It’s the future of the industry, people want to engage intelligently through conversation.”

Next came CasinoLove, founded by Milan Mihaldinecz who presented a specialist video content studio tailored for iGaming. The company produces gameplay, tutorials, interviews and branded media, with over 500 videos completed and localisation in 40 languages. CasinoLove’s blend of production and iGaming expertise positions it as a trusted content partner for operators and studios alike. His pitch offered a well structured overview of the product emphasising the high customer retention of their model.

Responsible Gambling Solutions followed, founded by Mathijs Ummels in the Netherlands. This product paired hospitality culture with harm-prevention training. Offering live workshops, consultancy and scalable e-learning, the platform helps casinos bridge compliance with player experience. Its unique value lies in combining responsible gambling with measurable improvements in customer service. Mathijs provided a compelling pitch emphasising the emotional pull and problems with gambling addiction, setting out how operators can be educated on responsible gaming, emphasising that its “very important to stay in close contact with governments regarding responsible gambling.”

Athens-based TOROTIPS, led by Konstantios Antonopoulos,took the stage next presenting their platform that introduces a pay-on-success model for betting predictions, rewarding only accuracy. With 60,000 users and 3,000 active tipsters gained in just four months, TOROTIPS is already scaling as a transparent global marketplace. He started with a comprehensive overview of the platform’s DNA, clearly laying out his pitch offerings to the judges.

Next came a Maltese finalist, Motileo, co-founded by Josh O’Cock, which applies gamification to workplace KPIs. Its SaaS platform converts performance metrics into game-like leaderboards and achievements across sales and iGaming support teams. With 100 per cent client retention, the system is proving effective in boosting team motivation and output.

His presentation showcased his lively energy with interactive slides and party poppers for a final touch to draw in both the judges and the audience. 🎉


Finally, came Malta-based Vivacore.ai, co-founded by Robert Dowling and founder & CEO Benedek Kovaca. Benedek presented their advanced AI-based CRM engine. The system predicts player behaviour and automates personalised campaigns with high predictive accuracy, creating measurable uplifts in engagement through an event-based pricing model. Benedek presented a comprehensive presentation which highlighted the innovation of their product.

Motileo took the crown

After some stiff competition, it was Motileo that ultimately took the crown. Oliver DeBono emphasised, this year’s SiGMA Euro-Med Pitch was “the most confident group of pitches so far”. William Spiteri Bailey reiterated the sentiment sharing that this year’s “pitches were of a very high level and showed they were very well prepared. I noticed the young age of some of the pitches which is exciting for the future of industry.”

The spotlight fell on Josh O’Cock, whose pitch impressed the judges with his high energy approach but also highlighted the innovation of Motileo’s SaaS platform. Speaking with SiGMA after the win Josh stressed how important the win is on a personal level as well as to the wider company, “This is a really really special and exciting moment. I’ve visualised this exact moment over 12 months ago. I even told some of the team, in 12 months time I’m going to do the SiGMA Pitch. I prepared for a year in my mind. I was going for gold and so happy I got it!”

When looking at the recognition for his company, Josh shared: “In terms of recognition, we have already started breaking into the gaming industry and this is going to be a really big stepping stone to give us further exposure, more brand awareness across the different sectors of the gaming industry.”

When asked what made him standout to the judges, Josh emphasised his unique pitching approach, “I believe that the product itself is a real standout product. It’s a unique offer that we presented on stage. I tried to engage with the judges as well as the audience. I used some tricks which you might see in the video. And I really thought about being sat in their position and what they wanted.”

“Ultimately business success is about pleasing your audience, whether you’re a provider or operator or marketer, you must engage with your audience and give them what they want in order to succeed. So, I applied that mindset to the judges and thought of all the possible questions they could ask me and I think that’s what made me stand out.”
